This is software based on the free source released by Bintec Communications AG, which allows transmission and reception of facsimile messages with Linux, using a Bintec Brick XS router or similar as the fax machine via its remote CAPI interface. Chances are that it'll work with the xcentric as well.

Utilities for file format conversion between CAPI 2.0 SFF, G3 and TIFF formats are included as source code but usually you won't need them with sendfax/faxrecv.

The transmitter, sendfax, has a rewritten command line interface to be compatible with the sendfax from Gert Doering's mgetty+sendfax distribution. It can serve as a one-to-one replacement for his sendfax.

The receiver, faxrecv, is able to listen on several different numbers (MSNs) and forward the messages as TIFF attachments by e-mail.

This software is released as source only which you'll have to compile yourself.
