Microsoft released CE Version 2.11 with the introduction of the H/PC Pro Edition devices. This version of CE comes with additional components like the Microsoft Virtual Machine for Java for Windows CE, JScript and HTML 3.2 for the Pocket Internet Explorer und some other components.

The small difference in the version number indicates the minor updates in the operating system. The difference between version 2.11 and 2.12 are changes in the API and the support for the Euro symbol (codepages).

Platform Builder 2.12 supports developers to bring this new CE version to further platforms.
