I2C URT/URD API

Introduction

This API offers an interface to the "Universal Register Tool" (URT) and the "Universal Register Debugger" (URD). Both tools released by NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors) can be used to manipulate and/or read out registers of ICs via I2C.

The URT/URD API has been developed in co-operation with NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors), the inventor of the I2C bus. It is used e.g. to program the NXP UOC III (Ultimate One Chip Third Generation) IC in a lot of factories world-wide.

This API supports the master mode of the telos I2C products.
