Simulating a slave
12-06-03 14:53

While Tracii 400 and Tracii XL provide slave modes, these make use of static return buffers or PC communication in situations where the slave acts as transmitter. This is sufficient in most cases however it is sometimes necessary to generate slave response data in real time base on previous communication.

One solution is to use Audrii an conjunction with a Microchip PIC 16c71 to implement a slave device in software.

Sample code for this is provided with the Audrii software package which can be downloaded at

this URL.The advantage of this approach is that you can use a Tracii 400 to verify your communication right away since Tracii is not used for any slave response activity.
