Application note - Drawing 5v regulated power from Tracii400
The center lines of the 4-pin i2c stocko connector are used as power lines. They can be applied in two ways:
- with the DCPLUG jumper open and the I2C jumper closed, 5v regulated power can be supplied to Tracii 400 board from an external source. In this case it is neither possible nor necessary to connect the 8..9v DC external power connector.
- With both the DCPLUG and the I2C jumpers closed and 8 to 9v connected to the power plug of Tracii 400 the board can supply 5v of regulated power over the i2c stocko connector. It is not recommended to draw more than 50 ma over this connector since the voltage regulators and the corresponding heat sink are not designed to supply more current to external applications.
