What is the resolution for time stamps?
06-06-03 18:05

It depends. Tracii offers high resolution for smaller periods but is able to process longer periods too. Thus, the resolution depends on the actual transmission time of the data bytes. The below table shows the transmission time of the databytes and the resolution time stamps are offering.

transmission time bytes [us] -> Resolution [ns]

0 .. 1023 / 62,5

1024..2047 / 125

2048..4095 / 250

4096..8191 / 500

If there is for instance 2 ms transmission time of one byte the time stamp information is provided in a resolution of 125 ns. If there is 5ms transmision time the resolution is 500 ns.

If the time exceeds 8,192 ms an overflow is shown.
