II. Software Updates
--------------------
- The new version of Tracii Spy (V 1.71) with the following changes is now ready for download:
What's new
* Support of Windows 2000
* Support of 7/8 bit address format
* The limit number of I2C-bus messages was increased to 999,999,999
* The Global Statistic is now available for more than 9,999 messages
* Filter & Trigger:
* A new dialog for Filter and Trigger Conditions exists
* A filter for error conditions is available
* The message boxes before start and stop transmission can be disabled
Fixes Problems
* If the LPT2 was set after a restart of the application, LPT2 was not
initiated correctly
* After some invalid I2C-bus messages the error message
"Memory Error" appeared

III. Tips & Tricks
------------------
Did you know that the Tracii software provides hardware testpins to trigger external devices?
The testpins are located beside the I¦C-bus connector.
This feature is only available for the Tracii 400 Boards.
* Tracii Talk:
The commands message, messagedelay and messagerepeat has the optional
parameter "P=<o2><o1>".
Use this parameter to specify the status of the testpins O1 and O2.
The new testpins status will be set direct before Tracii Talk
is sending the message.
E.g.
' send a message to the device 80 and set the output testpin O1 to high
message 80w,c,a,f,f,e,e,p=01
' send a message to the device 78 and set the output testpin O1 to low and
' the output testpin O2 to high
message 78w,fe,e0,p=10
* Tracii Spy:
The signal can be set to the output testpin O1 if a I¦C-bus event occurs.
The event can be the "Start Conditions", the "Stop Condition", the
"Acknowledge" or the "Frame Error". The dialog "General Options"
(Version >=1.7) or the dialog "Hardware" (Version <1.7) in the "Settings" menu
has to be used to specify the conditions.
